How do I find products?
To begin finding products suitable for your skin, select a skin type from the 16 options listed on the left. You can also click on one of the 4 main categories to see a list of the 4 skin types that fall into your category. In addition, you can click on “Products” at the top of the page to see the complete list of 16 skin types. When you click on your skin type you will see a list of product types. Click on one of these choices to see a list of products recommended for your skin type.
 
How do I find detailed information about a specific product?
You can find details about any product by clicking on the product picture, the product name, or the details link.
 
Why do I see products on BaumannStore.com that I don't see in my copy of The Skin Type Solution?
There are multiple editions of the book available; paperback, hardcover, the UK edition, etc. Because new products are introduced to the market all the time, there are some products that appear in newer editions that won’t appear in others.
 
Why can’t I find a product that Dr. Baumann recommends in The Skin Type Solution?
This site does not carry all of the products recommended in the book. One reason a product may not be available on this site is that manufacturers occasionally discontinue products. If a product was discontinued after the book was published, it will not be available here. Also, there are select brands that we do not currently carry. However, we are actively adding products daily so if there’s a product in the book that you can’t find, check back frequently to see if it has been added.
 
Why is the name of the product I've found on your web site slightly different than what I see in the book?
Occasionally, manufacturers change the name of a product. If the formulation is the same or is improved, we will continue to make the product available to you.
 
How do I purchase products?
To purchase a specific product, click the “Add to Cart” button next to the product you have chosen. This action will take you to the Shopping Cart page where you can view all products that have been selected for purchase. You can view your Shopping Cart at any time by clicking the “Shopping Cart” link at the top of the page.
 
Shopping Cart
From the Shopping Cart page you can make any edits to items you have selected to purchase. To remove an item, simply click the “Delete” button next to the product you no longer wish to purchase. To purchase more than one unit of a specific product, enter the desired quantity number in the “Quantity” box next to the selected product and click any of the three “Update Cart” buttons on the page. Enter any discount or offer coupon code you may have in the “Coupon Code” box. You can click the “Continue Shopping” link at the top or bottom of the page at any time to purchase additional times. All of the information currently in your Shopping Cart will be retained. If you are ready to proceed with your purchase, click the “Checkout Now” button at the top or bottom of the page.
 
Address Book
Once you have proceeded to the Checkout from the Shopping Cart page, you will arrive at the Address Book.
  • If you are a registered user, you can enter your email address and password to the left and click the “Sign In & Checkout” button. Remember that your password is case sensitive.
  • If you have forgotten your password, click the “click here” link next to “Forget your password?”. You will be taken to the “Request Your Password” page. Simply enter your email address in the box and click the "Request Password" button and we will send you an email with your password shortly.
  • If you are a new user, click the “Register and Checkout” button to the right. You will be taken to the “Create Account” page. To create an account, enter all of your Account and Contact information, Billing information, and Shipping information. You can use the “Same as account info above” and “Same as billing info” check boxes to avoid retyping duplicate information. When you are finished filling out all of the information, please click the “Create Account & Continue Checkout” button.
  • Once you have created an account, you can edit any of the shipping and billing information, create a new address, or delete a current address.
    1. To edit an address, click the “Edit” button next to the address you would like to change. You will then be taken to the “Edit Address” page. Make any desired changes and click the “Save Edited Address” button. You can also delete the address by clicking the “Delete This Address” button.
    2. To create a new address, click the “Add A New Address ” button. You will be taken to the “Create a New Shipping Address” page. From this page you can designate any of your addresses as the primary billing address by clicking the “Make this my primary billing address” link next to the desired address. To create a new address fill out the form and click the “Add New Address” button. You can then view your Account & Contact Information and make any changes from this page by editing any information in the boxes and clicking the “Update Account” button. You can also edit your Primary Billing Address by clicking the “Change” button next to the billing address and you can add an additional billing address by clicking the “Add Another Billing Address” link. The Primary Shipping Address can also be edited by clicking on the corresponding “Change” button and a new shipping address can be created by clicking on the “Add Another Shipping Address” link.
    3. To delete an address, click on the “Delete” button corresponding to the address you wish to remove.
Shipping Options
From the Shipping Options page, please select your desired shipping method from the list of options by clicking on the button corresponding to your choice. This action will update your total with your shipping costs factored in. You can edit your Shopping Cart by clicking the “Edit Order” button at any time. You can also edit your Billing and Shipping information by clicking the “Change” button next to the corresponding information you wish to change. When you are ready to proceed with the order click the “Place My Order” button at the top or bottom of the page.
 
Payment Info
From the Payment Information page you can view your Order Summary and make any changes to your order as well as your Shipping and Billing Address below. You can edit your Shopping Cart by clicking the “Edit Order” button at any time. You can also edit your Billing and Shipping information by clicking the “Change” button next to the corresponding information you wish to change. To complete your order, fill out the credit card information above and click the “Place My Order” button at the top or bottom of the page.
 
Order Confirmation
Once you have completed your order you will be taken to the Order Confirmation page. This page lets you know that your order is being processed. Please make note of your order number for future reference.

If you are having trouble shopping or in checkout…
It may be that your browser is set to not accept cookies. It is strongly recommended that you download the latest browser and make sure that cookies are enabled. Like other web-based stores, BaumannStore.com must use temporary cookies to store information about your shopping cart and checkout. If you enable your browser’s acceptance of cookies and try again, your problem may very likely clear up.

If you are using an older browser and getting “JavaScript” errors…
Some older and less dependable browsers will return JavaScript errors within BaumannStore.com. These errors may mean that you are not seeing every feature Baumannstore.com has to offer. However, your use of the site should not be impaired. If you do not wish to update your browser to a newer version, simply ignore these errors and continue using BaumannStore.com. If you find these errors annoying, your browser may allow you to disable the error messages in your preferences settings.
